Thomas Fox - FCPA Consultant & Former General Counsel
Thomas Fox has practiced law in Houston for 28 years. He is now an Independent Consultant, assisting companies across industries with FCPA and Compliance issues. In his most recent role as a General Counsel of a leading manufacturing firm he oversaw the delivery of legal services on a worldwide basis, with emphasis on FCPA compliance, export and commercial operations. He was actively involved with the organization’s compliance investigations, audits, policy drafting and leading training programs on all facets of compliance including FCPA, export, anti-boycott and commercial operations. He was previously division counsel with Halliburton Energy Services, Inc. where he supported Halliburton's software division and its largest division, then named Drilling Formation and Evaluation Division, worldwide. Tom attended undergraduate school at the University of Texas, Graduate School at Michigan State University and law school at the University of Michigan. He has written and lectured nationally and internationally on a wide variety of topics, including topics ranging from indemnities and other forms of risk shifting for a worldwide energy practice, tax issues faced by multi-national US companies, insurance coverage issues and protection of trade secrets.
