Christopher E. Mandel - MBA, CPCU, CCSA, ARM, AIC, RWW
Chris Mandel is member of the founding team at RPM3 and serves as EVP, Head of Professional Services. He founded and remains President of Excellence in Risk Management, LLC. an independent consulting firm specializing in governance, risk and compliance, with a special emphasis on enterprise risk management. From 2001-2010, Mr. Mandel was head of enterprise risk management for USAA Group. At USAA, he designed, developed and led the enterprise-wide risk management and corporate insurance centers of excellence. He also served as President and Vice Chairman, Enterprise Indemnity CIC, Inc., its commercial insurance unit, Mr. Mandel has more than 25 years of experience in risk management and insurance in large, global corporate and has pioneered the development of cross-enterprise risk management capabilities resulting in S&P's highest ERM ratings of USAA from 2006 through 2010. He was also named Risk Manager of the Year in 2004.
Mr. Mandel's deep, wide and diverse experience in all facets of risk management and insurance allows him to offer those to provide everything from a comprehensive strategy and complete ERM framework to targeted guidance, tools, techniques and/or training. Mr. Mandel's innovative approach to making risk a key strategically placed and results oriented function results from solidly connecting risk management outputs to a company's key performance metrics and ultimately, mission accomplishment. At the heart of his ERM expertise is a diverse understanding of all key risk categories that can impact an insurer's performance including financial, strategic and operational risks. His core focus is on the nexus between effective risk management and company performance which is why joining RMP3 made perfect sense for his next career move after helping USAA deliver exceptional performance even through the financial crisis of 2008.
Mr. Mandel received his B.S. in Business Management from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and an MBA in finance from George Mason University. He holds the CCSA, CPCU, ARM and AIC designations and is a frequent industry speaker, teacher and writer. He served as a Board Director and President and Chief Risk Officer of RIMS (1998-2004). He writes the "Risk Innovation" column for Risk and Insurance magazine and was elected a member of Risk Who's Who (2008).

As Chief Operating Officer of MetricStream, Gaurav has overall responsibility for Sales, Marketing, Customer Advocacy and the Partner Ecosystem.
Until 2010, he served as the CFO of the company and the General Manager of GRC. He has held various positions at MetricStream since inception and has been instrumental in shaping key strategic initiatives that have helped MetricStream become a global leader in Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC). During his tenure, he has led MetricStream's financial strategy as well as Sales, Marketing and Partnerships. He founded ComplianceOnline.com that has grown to become a leading online GRC community and content property.
Gaurav has more than a decade of experience in building and growing enterprise software and internet companies. As part of the executive team at ArcadiaOne, Gaurav led the team from inception to profitability and a successful acquisition. Prior to Arcadiaone, he spent nearly a decade in marketing, finance & operating roles with Citigroup. At Citigroup, Gaurav played several executive roles in US and in Asia, including the launch and growth of a pioneering internet based consumer remittance business. Gaurav has a Bachelor in Technology (with Honors) from the Institute of Technology in India, a degree in Business from FMS, Delhi and an MBA from the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania where he graduated as a Palmer Scholar.
He is a thought leader in the GRC space and is a regular speaker at key forums like the IIA, Ops Risk, PRIMIA, ISACA among many others. He also works closely with federal and state policy makers and serves on advisory boards of other technology and media companies.
