With increasing reliance on vendors to improve margins and offer products / services, it is crucial to get a better visibility of the entire vendor ecosystem, and ensure risks are identified and addressed.

While CROs are generally called upon to help manage those risks, stakeholders expect internal auditors to provide assurance that third-party risks are being effectively addressed.

Internal auditors are expected to ensure the effectiveness of third-party relationship management by ensuring that related risks are identified, assessed, and managed; appropriate internal controls are in place; and where controls are performed by service providers, that appropriate SSAE 18 SOC/1 reports (or the equivalent) are obtained.

Join this session, where the speakers will discuss:

  • Third-Party Risk Management – The Growing Scope and Complexity, including Fourth-Party Risk
  • Managing Lines of Defense – Collaboration Between Risk, Security and Internal Audit Functions
  • The Value of SOC/1 Reports
  • Auditing Third Parties – Process and Value Proposition
