Throughout his 30-year career, Mr. Fucito has been a leader in the Resiliency and Crisis Management space for some of the world’s most influential financial institutions including BNP Paribas, J.P. Morgan Chase, and Fannie Mae.
He specializes in building and maturing robust Resiliency and Crisis Management programs and has led several crisis response and recovery efforts following major disasters globally. Some of the most notable include 9/11, the 2003 northeast blackout, the NYC MTA Strike in 2005, the 2011 earthquake in Japan, Super Storm Sandy in 2012 and violent protests in India in 2016. He is currently engaged in his 4th and most challenging crisis, the COVID global pandemic.
The cornerstone of his career has been a passion for making a difference for those in need both on and off the job. In partnership with Ready New York and the New York City Office of Emergency Management, he created the first Corporate Volunteer Emergency Response Team in New York City and funded the training of a separate Community Emergency Response Team. In addition, he led and actively participated in an intense four-month rebuild effort in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina to bring fire stations, a school and single family homes back into working order for the community. He also collaborated with the owner of Continuity Insights to establish an annual post-conference community service workshop called Continuity Cares. He actively speaks at conferences across the country to help further the knowledge of continuity professionals. He has also served as the NYC Chapter Chair and Vice Chair on the Executive Board of the Contingency Planning Exchange, is a member of the Business Resiliency and General Threats Committees for the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association. He has also volunteered with World Cares Center to support their mission of educating and empowering ready responders following disasters and was recently honored by World Cares Center with the “Ready Responder” Lifetime of Leadership Award.
